Tobias Sternberg defends his doctoral thesis

Tobias Sternberg successfully defended his doctoral thesis on December 15. His doctoral work On thermal convection in the sphere: Theory and computations sheds new light on the theory of internally heated convection in a sphere, a classical yet not well studied topic, and provides new insights into the nonlinear behaviour of convection in a spherical geometry.
