Mineral Magnetism

We are involved in defining fundamental magnetic properties of individual minerals, particularly their magnetic anisotropy. How magnetic properties for combinations of high and low coercivity phases is also an area of interest. Furthermore, we are involved in a number of collaborations to characterize of synthetic minerals in order to understand how synthesis affects their magnetic properties.
